UDL Vlog: Options for Perceptions

  1. I really enjoyed your post. You honestly put a lot of thought into each of your guidelines, and I can actually see myself using some of these resources that you have shared. So thank you for that. Also, have you ever tried implementing any of these in your current placement? Did you find it useful for any students in particular? I can see the text to speech app being very useful for a few of my students. One of my students actually has difficulty speaking; therefore, I could have him use this application as a form of question response.

  2. Thank you, Courtney! I am glad that you could relate my resources to your own content. I have been to a lot of different schools throughout my educational experience, and have learned that your teaching can be more effective if you present it in a variety of ways, regardless of whether or not you have students with impairments in your classroom. This works really well in middle school because the attention spans of students is limited. Some just respond better to a visual, and some respond better to a video. You just have to get to know your students! The reader website is a miracle.. honestly it can be used so many ways and I'm glad you have found a good use for it in your classroom!!
